Who I Am

I am a certified hypnotherapist and a member of the International Association of Counselors and Therapists (IACT – https://www.hypnosisalliance.com/iact/index.php.). I am also a traveler, mother, daughter, sister, friend, and partner. I see myself as a warrior, a witch, and a soul in constant search—curious about the depth and meaning of life. From time to time, I work with psychedelics; sometimes, I work with dreams. I often use Arnold Mindell’s concept of the dreaming body during hypnosis.  All the while, I try to listen to the voice of intuition, which guides me in conducting sessions and living my life.

My approach to life and hypnosis is transpersonal and holistic, integrating the mind, body, spirituality, and higher consciousness. I deeply value connecting with others—their true nature, what makes them unique, their light, shadow, and inner world.

I hold a certificate of completion from the Sanctum Verziere Alliance Michael Newton Institute Training Program, authorizing me as A Transpersonal and Past Life Regression Therapist.

Hypnotic Regressions Using Dr. Michael Newton’s Method

One of my earliest inspirations, both in the field of hypnosis and in my personal spiritual development, came from the books by Dr. Michael Newton: “Journey of Souls: Case Studies of Life Between Lives”, “Destiny of Souls: New Case Studies of Life Between Lives”, and “Life Between Lives: Hypnotherapy for Spiritual Regression”. In these works, he describes cases of hypnotic regression sessions he conducted, focusing on past life regression (PLR) and Life Between Lives (LBL).  Another significant book is “Memories of the Afterlife: Life Between Lives Stories of Personal Transformation”, written by hypnotherapists practicing LBL regression following Dr. Newton’s method.

Dr. Michael Newton was an American hypnotherapist, psychologist, and pioneer in the study of life after life. He became renowned for developing a method of hypnotic regression (PLR) that enables clients to explore memories of past lives (a practice I also apply during my sessions) and of the time between incarnations (LBL). His findings are based on over 7,000 LBL regression sessions that he personally conducted.

Dr. Newton’s concept of reincarnation assumes that we have lived previous lives (often vastly different from our current one), that we chose those lives, and that we also selected the circumstances of this life. According to his research, the challenges and hardships we face are designed to help us grow and evolve as immortal souls. A particularly significant phase is the time spent in the spiritual realm between death and rebirth, where the soul reflects on its previous life, learns, and prepares for its next incarnation.

Before birth, the soul plans its future life, selecting circumstances, challenges, and relationships that will support its spiritual development. Each life has a specific purpose, and the difficulties we encounter are part of this plan, enabling us to gain wisdom, understanding, and discover the fullness of our potential.

In 2002, Dr. Michael Newton and his closest collaborators founded The Michael Newton Institute for Life Between Lives Hypnotherapy. The Newton Institute

Through The Michael Newton Institute, I found my wise mentor and teacher,  Allison Lee Axinn. She’s a certified hypnotherapist (CHt), Instructor, Mentor and LBL Facilitator for the Michael Newton Institute, as well as a member of its Education Committee. She is also a certified instructor for International Association of Counselors and Therapists (IACT), a teacher of dream therapy and a facilitator of the Transformation Game. Verziere Sanctum

Learning from Allison, her supervision, and her suport helped me develop my unique approach to conducting sessions while aligning with the framework for PLR regression outlined by Dr. Michael Newton. I plan to continue studying at The Michael Newton Institute to become a certified LBL regression hypnotherapist.

What Matters to Me in Working with Hypnosis

I practice client-centered hypnotherapy, meaning I act as both a guide and participant in the hypnotic journey. My sessions are designed to encourage the client’s inner „higher self” to reveal what is most supportive for them at that moment in life. I have deep respect for the wisdom within each individual, so it is the client who determines where the session leads and what experiences are acceptable to them.

Building trust and maintaining a friendly, safe atmosphere are among my top priorities, enabling clients to explore their inner worlds with my full support and sensitivity tailored to the situation.

Tolerance for a client’s beliefs and perspectives is fundamental to me. I believe the way we perceive the world largely shapes it, and what we believe becomes our internal truth. During hypnotic journeys, it doesn’t matter to me where the scenes come from; the real value lies in the power of their messages or the experience itself.

I value connecting with another person, their true nature, what makes them unique, their light, their shadow, and their inner world—all of which continuously inspire me in my own work and personal growth.

What is Hypnosis

Hypnosis is a state of altered consciousness that allows access to deeper layers of the mind, enabling changes in perception, emotions, and behavior. The state of hypnotic relaxation is, in a way, a journey into the inner world, where we go to connect with the subconscious, inner wisdom, and spiritual guidance, which can have therapeutic effects. Hypnosis is a state of deep calm, with external stimuli reduced until it becomes safe, pleasant, and quiet enough to hear our inner voice and experience something important that it wants to express. This experience contains valuable lessons, and that voice is our inner wisdom, intuition, our „higher self,” with which we can connect through hypnosis. Through the deep internal (and even spiritual) experience of hypnosis, we can come closer to a state of mental harmony, recognition, and understanding of our emotions.

A particular type of hypnosis is a Past Life Regression (PLR,), which involves taking the client back to memories from a past life that can provide solutions, insights, or lessons related to the client’s current life. More about past life regression and the concept of life between lifes is discussed here: (link to) Hypnotic Regressions according to Dr. Michael Newton’s method.
Past life regression can be conducted regardless of the client’s worldview or beliefs. I believe that, regardless of whether we believe in what we experienced during the session, it is undeniable that the experience we had was presented to us by our subconscious. From this experience, a unique, individually tailored message always emerges, and the most important goal of the session is for the client’s „conscious self” to read and understand it.

A state close to hypnosis is sometimes reached on our own through meditation or in everyday life, while performing repetitive, rhythmic activities that detach us from the world around us, allowing free flow of thoughts.
During hypnosis, guided by me, the client maintains full control and is aware of the entire session.

Hypnosis from a scientific perspective

During a hypnosis session, significant changes occur in the brain related to attention, perception, and processing of stimuli. Activity in the anterior cingulate cortex (dACC) decreases, which weakens critical thinking and reduces attention to the surroundings, allowing for greater focus. Simultaneously, the connection between the prefrontal cortex (DLPFC) and the insular cortex is strengthened, which increases internal awareness and promotes changes in emotional perception. The prefrontal cortex is responsible for planning, attention, and cognitive control (acting consciously, managing thought processes, such as problem-solving and inhibiting impulsive responses). The insula is the center of our emotions, intuition, and empathy, involved in processing internal bodily states, such as sensations of pain, emotions, or somatic awareness. Enhanced communication between these regions allows for more flexible processing of stimuli and may change the way we perceive various experiences, including pain, fear, or stress. During hypnosis, brain waves shift towards alpha and theta, typical of relaxation and concentration. These changes allow for the modification of perceptions, emotions, and behaviors, explaining the therapeutic effects of hypnosis.

There are many interesting studies confirming the versatility of hypnosis in reducing pain, anxiety, and stress. A person who conducted pioneering research on hypnosis in the 19th century, especially in the context of its medical applications, was Scottish surgeon James Esdaile. He worked in India, where he used hypnosis as an anesthetic during surgeries. Esdaile performed hundreds of surgical operations, such as amputations and tumor removals, using hypnosis instead of traditional anesthetics, which were either ineffective or available in limited quantities at the time. His research was groundbreaking, proving that hypnosis could be a viable alternative to anesthetic drugs, especially where access to modern pharmaceuticals was limited. Esdaile’s experiments suggested that hypnosis could not only alleviate pain but also aid in wound healing, as supported by modern studies on pain reduction in various medical situations. One study showed that hypnosis helped older patients manage chronic pain better. Hypnosis also reduced depression levels in these patients. For breast surgery, brief preoperative hypnosis sessions reduced pain, nausea, and emotional stress. Hypnotic sessions before heart surgeries reduced anxiety and improved postoperative outcomes, including better pain control and faster recovery times.

Research has confirmed the effectiveness of hypnosis for psychosomatic disorders such as irritable bowel syndrome (Carolusson, 2014; Hauser et al., 2016; Palsson, 2017), post-traumatic stress disorder (Christensen, 2017), dermatology conditions (Delaitre, Denis & Maillard, 2020), sleep disorders (Cordi, Rossier & Rasch, 2020), headaches and migraines (De Benedittis, 2017; Hammond, 2007).
In a pilot study, regular use of a hypnosis-based stress reduction program lowered levels of inflammatory cytokines (IL-6), which are linked to stress-induced conditions. This suggests that hypnosis can help regulate immune responses and increase resilience to stress.

Who is hypnosis for

During hypnosis, the conscious part of the mind becomes less active, and the subconscious and its hidden inner wisdom take the lead. This allows us to approach solving any problem and answering any questions regarding our life.
Hypnosis can offer guidance for growth in specific areas of life, solutions for issues related to love, addiction, fear, depression, stress, or health problems. It can even help explore the reasons behind difficulties in learning a foreign language, losing weight, maintaining regular physical activity, and many other issues. The hypnotic relaxation state provides space to reconcile with difficult realities or to understand the challenges life has placed before us, including incurable diseases. Sometimes, a single session of hypnotic journey fills the client with hope, understanding, and new energy to face life’s challenges.

During our session, we can carry out Past Life Regression (PLR), where we go back in time to experiences from a previous life that will best support the client’s growth or align with the intention set for the current life, here and now. Past life regression sessions can answer important questions such as: Who am I really? What is the purpose of my life? What happens after death? The experience of a past life itself is unique and can bring a lot of understanding to the difficulties and relationships we struggle with in the present life. Hypnosis, especially regression, can be a profound, transcendental spiritual experience or a more elaborate, fantastical message from the subconscious – it all depends on the client’s individual approach and interpretation.

From my personal experience, it often turns out that the challenges we face in adulthood have their roots in childhood. During hypnosis, we may meet our inner child, often engage with it, understand it, and surround it with love. We can also directly go back to childhood to experience situations from that time from the perspective of an adult and see more, understand, and even accept.

Hypnosis sessions work well as an independent tool for inner work and complement traditional therapies, where experiences from the sessions are discussed in more detail with a psychologist.

Hypnosis can also be a great space for self-development for therapists and psychologists who particularly need access to inner wisdom to best help their clients during therapy.

Due to my own work with natural medicine (psychedelics), I am open to exploring experiences from the client’s past psychedelic journeys. A hypnosis session can complement such journeys, assist in integrating those experiences, or give them meaning.

Hypnosis sessions can be wonderful, strengthening, healing, and cleansing experiences, providing exactly what the person needs at a given moment in their life. However, it is up to the client whether the internal insights from the hypnotic journey will be absorbed, integrated, and ultimately lead to the resolution of the issue, physical well-being, and mental harmony.

How a hypnosis session works

The hypnosis session is preceded by a unhurried conversation, which is especially important during the first meeting. We get to know each other, discuss the reason for the meeting, and the intention we will set for the hypnotic journey. We can define it together, and it can be very specific or more general. We establish the best way to relax for the given client. I often ask about significant or recent dreams. We talk about integrating experiences from previous sessions (if this isn’t our first meeting).

Duration of the Session

I don’t like to rush—some experiences require time and calm. Every client is different, and I care about respecting their own pace and the way they delve into a state of hypnotic relaxation. The session itself can last around 1-2 hours, so I usually allocate 2-3 hours for the entire meeting, which can also be arranged individually.

The session is usually recorded (with the client’s consent). The recording can be used by me to create a note from the client’s statements, which I typically send within a few days after the session, along with the recording (if needed).

Hypnotic Session

The session begins with induction, which involves relaxation, working with the breath and imagination, allowing for a smooth transition into a deeper state of hypnotic relaxation. This process reminds me of slowly submerging under the surface of water, where fewer external stimuli reach us, and it becomes so quiet and calm that we can hear our inner world. What happens next is a very individual experience. The way of experiencing is absolutely unique—we can see, feel, or simply know what is happening. It’s a bit like dreaming, yet we actively participate in what’s unfolding. We can ask questions to the characters we meet and draw lessons from experiences that simply appear. For me personally, it’s a deep encounter with myself and the voice of inner wisdom that supports growth and helps when we ask for help, pose the right questions, and remain attentive.

During the session, the client retains full control, remains aware, and decides when to end the journey. I practice a calm return from the hypnotic journey, guiding us back to the HERE and NOW. After being guided out of hypnosis, we need a bit more time to fully return to awareness. This may (but does not have to) be a time for discussing the session, depending on the client’s needs.
